Some Choice Bands coming up at Radar -
September 25th;
WHITE LIES
Much hyped moody youngsters from London, pleasingly the singer sounds like Julian Cope, but the music is more in the vein of Echo & the Bunnymen, Interpol & Joy Divison.
Here is their first single
White Lies - Unfinished Business
Looks to be a busy one so get a ticket in advance from HERE
October 23rd
THE CREEPING NOBODIES
Awesome band from Toronto, Post-punk, but definitely not punk-funk which is refreshing, think The Fall/Pere Ubu/Wire... Great on record, but even better (and more intense) live. Listen:
The Creeping Nobodies - Blowing on Knots
This one'll be dead cheap to get in, so there's no excuse!
December 4th:
Vivian Girls
A long way away, but we are very excited about this one!
C86-channelling lo-fi noise-pop with all three singing a la classic girl groups. Some cool footage of them playing live on their blog.
Released their first self-titled album On In the Red which sold out (now being re-released.) and have sang backing vocals on a Fucked Up record - Who are also playing at The Bodega on November 14th.
Vivian Girls - Tell The World
Vivian Girls - Where Do You Run
